<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead-acid storage battery in which corrosion resistance of an electrode is improved. <P>SOLUTION: At least either a carbon compound 5 and an oxide 7 is contained in a state of dispersion in a current collector 3 forming a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolytic solution. With this arrangement, the crystal particle diameter of the electrode 1, especially of the current collector 3 forming the positive electrode which is apt to generate corrosion of the battery, can be made smaller than that of a current collector of an electrode in a conventional lead-acid battery. Then, by making the crystal particle size small, the corrosion resistance of the electrode of the lead-acid battery can be improved since the total extended length of a crystal particle boundary 15 per unit weight and per unit area of the current collector 3 becomes longer and the margin for corrosion becomes longer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
