摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques for repeatedly forming an electrostatic latent image with high accuracy on a photoreceptor of a charge generating material dispersion type. SOLUTION: The printing apparatus 1 is equipped with a photoreceptor drum 22 connected to a motor 21. The outer peripheral face of the cylindrical member 221 of the photoreceptor drum 22 is uniformly coated with the photoreceptor 222 of a charge generating material dispersion type. A charger 31 to charge the photoreceptor 222, an image forming section 32 to form an electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor 222, and a discharger 36 to discharge the photoreceptor 222 by irradiation with light are disposed around the photoreceptor drum 22. As the wavelength of the light emitting from the discharger 36 is included in a specified wavelength zone with relatively low absorptivity in the distribution of the spectral absorptivity of the charge generating material, the photoreceptor 222 is appropriately discharged.
