PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket device capable of mounting an IC module having an overhang upper part relative to the lower part, and making the device thin while surely securing the length of an inside piece part of a terminal member. SOLUTION: The socket device is equipped with a housing 1 having a recessed storing part 1a to which an electric component 4 is fit, and a plurality of terminal members 2 installed in the periphery part of the storing part 1a and installed on the outside surface of the electric component 4, an outer contact piece 4c is installed in a corner part where the lower side surface of the electric component 4 comes in contact with its bottom surface, the terminal member 2 has a flat plate-like base part 2e extending along the inner wall part of the storing part 1a held by the housing 1, a contact point plate 2a formed in one end of the base part 2e by bending in parallel to the base part 2e, and a bent piece 2c bent toward the inside of the storing part 1a on the tip side of the contact point plate 2a, and the bent piece 2c is made to contact with the outer contact piece 4c installed in the electric component 4.
