PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a library device having a structure for improving the response of the library device. SOLUTION: The system comprises a plurality of libraries for storing an optical storage medium, and a unit having a plurality of cassettes for storing the optical storage mediums and a record reproduction drive. In the unit, the optical storage medium in the cassette is carried to the record reproduction drive, and a plurality of the units are provided in the system.
