PHOTOCATALYTIC COATING LIQUID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a photocatalytic coating liquid which has a simple constitution and securely imparts a photocatalytic activity to a substrate when being applied to the substrate containing a water-repellent one. SOLUTION: This photocatalytic coating liquid is obtained by mixing a peroxotitanic acid dispersion wherein a fine particle of a titania peroxo compound is dispersed and a water-soluble solvent. Preferably, the photocatalytic coating liquid comprises 5-50 vol.% butyl Cellosolve, and the peroxotitanic acid dispersion comprises 0.1-2.0 wt.% fine particle of the titania pereoxo compound.
