<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the power margin of a write-once type optical recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The optical recording medium is provided with a light transmissive substrate 11 on which a spiral groove 11a is formed and a recording layer 21 containing organic coloring matters and the average inclination angle θa of an inner peripheral side wall surface 33 in the groove 11a is larger than the average inclination angle θb of an outer peripheral side wall surface 34. In forming the recording layer 21 by a spin coating method thereby, the irregular thickness of the recording layer 21 in the groove 11a can be suppressed and the preferable thickness of the recording layer 21 can be secured in a range from the inner peripheral side to the outer peripheral side in the groove 11a. Since the heat of a laser beam emitted at the time of recording is almost uniformly radiated from the inner peripheral side to the outer peripheral side in the groove 11a, the influence of heat interference between marks can be reduced and a wide power margin can be secured in high-speed recording. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
