<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel display device capable of decreasing the variations in the luminance within the display screen of a display panel. <P>SOLUTION: The panel display device is equipped with a luminance control section 1 which forms corrected pixel data by multiplying each of input pixel signals by a coefficient corresponding to each pixel so as to correct the variations in the luminance levels between the pixels of a plasma display panel 10 in the case the display based on the signal of the same luminance level is performed.
