PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejector which suppress the occurrence of concentration distribution of a liquid which is stored in a liquid storage means, without complicating or upsizing the ejector. SOLUTION: An ink cartridge 23 of an inkjet recording apparatus is equipped with an ink storage vessel 31, and ink I is stored inside the vessel 31. Air A1 is infilled into a space S1 with no ink I in the vessel 31. A sink-and-float body 36 exists in the ink I, and the volume of the sink-and-float body 36 varies with a change of pressure of the ink I. The vessel 31 is equipped with an air inflow/outflow hole 34 for making the inside of the vessel 31 communicate with its outside, and the hole 34 is connected to a pressure pump via an air tube 41. The drive of the pressure pump makes the air introduced into/discharged from the space S1 in the vessel 31, and brings about a pressure change.
