PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a worm for a motor with a reducing mechanism, securing strength at its dedendum while reducing influences on meshing due to the interference with a worm wheel. SOLUTION: The worm 31 for meshing with the worm wheel is formed with two curves 36, 37 having radii of curvature different in the curved shape of the dedendum 35. The radius of curvature R2 of the second curve 37 on the side of a tooth surface 34 is set larger than the radius of curvature R1 of the first curve 36 on the side of a tooth bottom 33.
