GAS CLEANING APPARATUS AND FLUE GAS DESULFURIZATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cleaning apparatus capable of efficiently cleaning sulfur oxides and soot dust in a gas.

SOLUTION: The gas cleaning apparatus comprises a catalyst layer 107 provided in a cleaning tower 104 circulated with exhaust gas containing the sulfur oxides or produced gas 101 and formed with an active carbon fiber layer; and a water feeding means 111 provided in the cleaning tower 104 and feeding water for producing sulfuric acid to the catalyst layer 107. A first filter layer 151 for removing the soot dust in the gas 101 is provided at a gas upstream side of the catalyst layer 107 in the cleaning tower 104.
