PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve compactness and light weight of a drain pump installed on an air conditioner or the like. SOLUTION: This drain pump 1 comprises a pump housing 40 having a suction port 42, a pump chamber 44, and a delivery port 46, and a cover 32. A rotary blade 50 inside is driven by a motor 10. The rotary blade 50 comprises a shaft part 52 to be installed on a motor output shaft, a flat blade 60 radially extended from a shaft part 53, and a projected part 54 formed on the shaft part 53 that is continuous with the shaft part 52 under the flat blade 60. Suction quantity of drain water sucked from the suction port is thus regulated, and contact area between drain water and the rotary blade 50 becomes smaller.
