PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a person authenticating device for reducing labor, and enhancing convenience of a person to be authenticated, by registering dictionary information, when a subject person to be authenticated uses the person authenticating device, without requiring attendance of an administrator. SOLUTION: This person authenticating device authenticates the person to be authenticated by using a face image of the person to be authenticated; and registers the dictionary information, by using individual ID and a temporary password, when the subject person to be authenticated uses the person authenticating device.
