PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the degree of freedom of the position for providing contact terminals of an ink cartridge while reliably keeping the contact between the contact terminals of the ink cartridge and contact terminals of the recording apparatus side. SOLUTION: The ink cartridge 210 for supplying ink to the recording apparatus by being mounted to the recording apparatus includes an ink cartridge main body 220 for containing the ink; an ink supplying member 240 provided on the bottom surface 222 of the ink cartridge main body 220, and having an ink supply hole 242 positioned near a first side wall 224 intersecting with the bottom surface 222 of the ink cartridge main body 220; an information storing member 260 having the contact terminals 262 provided on a second side wall 226 intersecting with the bottom surface 222 of the ink cartridge main body 220 and facing the first side wall 224; and a positioning member 280 protruding from the second side wall 226 for positioning the ink cartridge 210 with respect to the recording apparatus when it is mounted to the recording apparatus.
