PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrodeposition coating apparatus which can electrodeposit a paint on an arbitrary part of an article to be painted, and to provide an electrodeposition coating method therefor. SOLUTION: The electrodeposition coating apparatus 1 comprises an electrodeposition tank 9 for accommodating an electrodeposition coating liquid 7; an electrodeposition coating liquid-introducing device 26 for introducing the electrodeposition coating liquid 7 into the electrodeposition tank 9; a support member 28 for covering one part of a constant velocity joint 3 immersed in the electrodeposition coating liquid 7 of the electrodeposition tank 9, so that the one part can not substantially contact with the electrodeposition coating liquid 7; and a power source 51 for electrodepositing the paint of the electrodeposition coating liquid 7 onto the surface of the constant velocity joint 3, by applying voltage between the constant velocity joint 3 immersed in the electrodeposition coating liquid 7 and the electrodeposition coating liquid 7 in the electrodeposition tank 9.
