PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an octopus box which can smoothly discharge air and seawater accumulated therein, can be produced in excellent productivity at a lower cost than costs for conventional boxes, has a sufficient strength, and is hardly broken during employment. SOLUTION: This octopus box comprising an upper side half body A whose one side is opened and which has a circular flange 3 surrounding the opened side and a lower side half body B whose one side is opened and which has a circular flange 4 surrounding the opened side, and formed by connecting the upper side half body A to the lower side half body B in a state matching both the flanges 3, 4 to each other is characterized by having an octopus-receiving space 1 formed to receive the octopus therein, having an opening 2 formed to make the octopus come in the octopus-receiving space 1 on the side, and having a slit 11 formed to connect the octopus-receiving space 1 to the outside between the matching face 3a of the flange 3 in the upper side half body A and the matching face 4a of the flange 4 in the lower side half body B.
