DRIVE MOTOR TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

A drive motor system which operates over a wide range of speeds and torques through a novel arrangement of gears and clutches coupled with a motor which can be driven bi-directionally is described. A fluid pumping mechanism which uses such a drive motor system has multiple inlet lines and a mechanism to selectively open input tubing valves in any sequence or combination to deliver a fluid to a single output line. Such a device may be useful for medical infusion pumps.
