<p>The present invention concerns a method of operating an object detection device (10) of a motor vehicle (1) for indicating information of at least one wirelessly connectable portable object (20, 24). The method comprises the steps of:
- operating the object detection device (10) to receive a wireless signal (SR) from the at least one portable object (20, 24);
- evaluating the received wireless signal (SR) for determining object information (OI) that is indicative of the presence or absence of the at least one portable object (20, 24) in the interior of the motor vehicle (1); and
- presenting the object information (OI) via a user output interface (32) to the user of the object detection device (10). In this way, the user conveniently obtains a quick overview and confirmation that everything needed is "on board" before he drives away with the motor vehicle for a journey.</p> |
