PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dynamically adjust the speed of high-speed reproduction in accordance with the streams so as to avoid sound interruption. SOLUTION: An audio stream buffer 3 and a video stream buffer 4 temporarily stores the audio signals and video signals, respectively. When a control means 6 commands high-speed reproduction, an audio processor 7 repeats skips of As frames and decodes Ap frames to convert to audio output signals, and a video processor 8 converts to video output signals of a predetermined scale factor. An audio skip control means 5 controls the number of skip frames As and the number of reproduction frames Ap using a remaining quantity to be supplied to the audio stream buffer 3, a remaining quantity of the audio stream buffer 3, a remaining quantity of the video stream buffer 4, a bit rate of input streams, a stream consumption speed of the video during the high-speed reproduction, and an input transfer speed of the input streams.
