PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved battery installing structure of a motorcycle capable of establishing a mass concentration by locating the components closely to the center of gravity of the motorcycle. SOLUTION: The motorcycle 10 includes a cradle type body frame 11 which is equipped internally with an engine 18 consisting of a crank case 51 and a cylinder part 52 rising approximately plumb up at the front of the crank case 51, wherein a cell motor 58 is installed on the oversurface of the crank case 51 in its place in the neighborhood of the rear of the mounting part of the cylinder part 52, and a battery 61 to supply the power to the electric fittnigs is installed on the oversurface of the crank case 51 in its place close to the cell motor 58. In addition to the cell motor, the battery can also be located nearer the center of gravity, and mass concentration can be established near the center of gravity of the motorcycle, and it is possible to enhance the running performance such as the cornering performance etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
