PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gap sealing device which enhances the sound insulating performance and smoke preventive performance of a door without damaging the appearance of the same, even if the door has a rotating shaft built therein, by using a gap closure. SOLUTION: The gap sealing device (10) functions to hermetically seal the gap (Z) between a lower bed (103) of the door (102) and a floor surface (F). The device has a sealing portion (33) arranged near the lower bed of the door along a door width direction, and the door has the rotating shaft (40) built therein. Further the gap sealing device (10) has a pressed member (52) capable of being pressed in the door width direction, pressing mechanisms (60, 51) for pressing the pressed member according to the rotation of the door about the rotating shaft, and a sealing portion moving mechanism (30) for lowering the sealing portion down to the floor surface upon pressing of the pressed member.
