ASK (Amplitude Shift Keying) signal analysis

The method involves transmitting a carrier signal modulated by at least one ASK symbol from a transmitter circuit having a time constant tauS, and receiving the carrier signal by a receiver circuit having a time constant tauE. The increasing envelope curve of the received carrier signal is determined from the time when a detection level of the received signal is exceeded. The characteristic parameters tauS and tauE are determined based on the increasing envelope curve and used to determine the start time of the transmitted ASK symbol.
