<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert a point light source such as a light-emitting diode into a surface light source with good uniformity. <P>SOLUTION: (1) The point light source is converted into a linear light source with a linear light guide plate, and further converted into the surface light source with a planar light guide plate. (2) Light from the point light source is reflected with a lamp reflector and made to enter from at least two side faces of the planar light guide plate. (3) The planar light guide plate with a rectangular upper face is cut by a line at an angle of 45° to one side of the rectangular shape as seen from above. After removal, the point light source is arranged in front of the side which has an angle of 45° to the other sides in the planar light guide plate having pentagon shape viewed from the upper face. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
