A bar-shaped snack food is made from strips of potato latticed together (1, Fig 2). The ends will be stuck down using a small amount of mash potato. Flavouring and seasoning to be added as necessary. This will then either be baked in a special metal mould or fried in a special mesh mould to create bite size chunks. The crisp bar could also be covered in a special flavoured coating to help prevent flaking and making for a more unusual snack. |
