MOLD FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING

A molten steel continuous casting mold includes a copper plate for forming a casting space. A back plate is disposed outside of and contacting the copper plate. An electromagnetic stirring apparatus housing is disposed outside of the back plate. The electromagnetic stirring apparatus housing accommodates an electromagnetic stirring apparatus therein. Furthermore, a wall of the electromagnetic stirring apparatus housing which contacts the back plate has an extended portion. The back plate and th e electromagnetic stirring apparatus housing are fixed together by a bolt located at only the extended portion of the wall of the electromagnetic stirring apparatus housing. This structure makes it possible to replace the copper plate easily.
