PURPOSE: A digital car audio control system and a controlling method thereof are provided to control and change a device within a digital car audio and a user environment by using a computer while tuning the digital car audio, thereby reducing the time and cost required for maintaining the digital car audio. CONSTITUTION: After connecting a digital car audio with a computer through wired/wireless communication, the computer outputs a control command to the digital car audio. The digital car audio analyzes whether the control command is a tuning or user environment or device control, or monitoring signal. If the command is the tuning signal, the digital car audio changes a user environment by resetting, and stores a changed user environment value in a memory. If the command is the device control signal, the digital car audio drives a device corresponding to the control command. If the command is the monitoring signal, the digital car audio transmits a state signal, a reset tuning signal, and a device driving state signal to the computer.
