PURPOSE: A method for transmitting an image file through the Internet is provided to solve a problem for wasting Internet resources generated when the image file is downloaded on the Internet by enabling the downloaded image file to be jumped to a position that a user stops a jumping operation. CONSTITUTION: An electronic device receives the first image contents of the image file transmitted from an image server through the Internet(61). The electronic device plays the first image contents(65). While playing the first image contents, the electronic device measures that a jump playback command is received. If the command is received, the electronic device plays the 'n'th image contents by jumping to the corresponding position. If not, the electronic device plays the first image contents(67). The previous steps are repeatedly performed until the end of the corresponding image file(69). |
