摘要

PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus that improves workability by promptly and safely assembling a new bearing onto a converter shaft when a bearing on the converter shaft is worn out or cracked and reduces furnace repairing time, thereby improves productivity by completely removing problems of defective assembling of the bearing. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for assembling bearing onto converter shaft comprises a base part of which one side is fixed by a bearing casing fixing bolt of the converter shaft, of which other side lower part is supported by hydraulic cylinders(102a,102b), and on an upper part of which cylinders are installed in such a way that the cylinders control forward and backward movements and side to side movements of a tailstock fixture(400); a converter shaft adjusting unit part comprising fixing jaws(204a,204b) disposed at one side on the base plate so that the fixing jaws adjust vertical movements and side to side movements of the converter shaft by hydraulic jacks(208,202a,202b); a bearing supporting part disposed to support and adjust vertical movements and side to side movements of the bearing on an upper part of the base part; and a bearing assembly part consisted of heating ring and hydraulic jack and constructed to adjust the center of a tailstock spindle(412) to the center of the converter shaft adjusted by the converter shaft adjusting unit part.
