METHOD FOR FORMING FLUORESCENT LAYER OF PLASMA DISPLAY DEVICE THROUGH GREEN TAPE COATING BY USING SOLVENT

PURPOSE: A method for forming a fluorescent layer of a plasma display device through green tape coating using solvent is provided to improve reliability of a PDP(Plasma Display Panel) rear board by coating a green tape on separation walls and a surface of a rear dielectric using osmotic pressure of the solvent. CONSTITUTION: Solvent is applied to a rear board of a PDP on which separation walls have been formed. A green tape containing a fluorescent material is positioned over the rear board. The green tape sticks to surfaces of the separation walls and an upper surface of a rear dielectric due to a pressure drop that is generated in a space between the separation walls and the green tape, thereby forming a preliminary fluorescent layer. The preliminary fluorescent layer is patterned using a patterned mask. The patterned preliminary fluorescent layer is sintered to form a fluorescent layer.
