PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display panel having polarizing films including color filters, and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve the efficiency of a substrate manufacturing process and light use efficiency by patterning RGB color filters on a surface of a first polarizing film. CONSTITUTION: An upper substrate(100) has a common electrode(110) formed at the back for receiving a voltage. A lower substrate(200) is opposite to the upper substrate, including pixel electrodes(210) forming an electric field together with the common electrode, and thin film transistors(220) switching the pixel electrodes. A liquid crystal layer(300) is interposed between the upper substrate and the lower substrate. A polarizing unit(500) includes an upper polarizing film(510) placed at an upper part of the upper substrate for deciding transmission of light passing through the liquid crystal layer, and a lower polarizing film(520) placed at a lower part of the lower substrate for flowing only light having a specific vibration direction into the liquid crystal layer. Color filters are integratedly formed with the polarizing unit, having red, green, and blue pixels.
