COLOR CORRECTION METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ALLOWING COLOR BLIND DRIVERS TO CORRECTLY SENSE COLORS

PURPOSE: A color correction method and apparatus for color blind drivers are provided to allow the color blind drivers to correctly sense signal lamp colors and the colors of objects outside cars. CONSTITUTION: A video frame data is received from a camera set outside a car(100). Color information is extracted from the video frame data(510). External brightness and color are measured from the video frame data(520,525). A color range a user prefers is selected(530). A degree of color blindness of the user is inputted in addition to the measured external brightness, external color and the user's color range, to correct colors(541,545). The color information is displayed in response to the color correction result(600).
