The process involves recording a value of a time signal provided by time signal generators of slave units (2). The value of the time signal of a master unit (1) is transmitted at an instant defined by a synchronization signal. A difference between the time signal values of the master unit and the slave units is determined for correcting the signal generators of the slave units. An independent claim is included for a network including a group of data processing units.
