PURPOSE: Provided is a method for analyzing wax used as anti-aging agent in the field of rubber industry(shoes, tires, belts, etc.), by which relative contents of linear portion and branched portion of the wax can be determined correctly with high reliability. CONSTITUTION: The method for analyzing wax in a rubber blend comprises the steps of: adding a polar solvent to the rubber blend to extract out polar materials; adding a non-polar solvent to the above rubber blend from which polar materials are removed to extract non-polar materials and to provide non-polar extract; forming precipitation in the extract by adding a solvent capable of selectively precipitating wax and then filtering the precipitation to obtain separated wax; and carrying out analysis of the separated wax by using gas chromatography.
