PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring device of perpendicularity for measuring the perpendicularity of a spring accurately and quickly. SOLUTION: This measuring device of the perpendicularity of the spring is characterized by having the first detection means for detecting the center position of one end turn face of the spring, the second detection means for detecting the center position of the other end turn face of the spring, and an operation means for operating the horizontal distance between the two center positions from detection results by the first and second detection means, and operating the perpendicularity of the spring from the ratio between the horizontal distance and the free height of the spring. Hereby, the perpendicularity of not only a cylindrical spring but also all springs whose both-end end turn faces are flat can be measured accurately. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
