PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate normally a vector scope, even when the phase to a burst signal of a sub-carrier wave signal inputted into a decoder does not completely coincide. SOLUTION: This vector waveform correction device 30 for correcting a vector waveform displayed on the vector scope is equipped with a correction quantity setting means 9 for keeping the correction quantityθon each partial scanning line, and a means 10 for inputting as x and y respectively, the first color difference signal (B-Y signal) and the second color difference signal (R-Y signal) demodulated from a chroma signal of a composite video signal, which is a means 10 for rotating partially a vector (x, y) with a partial scanning line of the whole scanning line as a unit by generating a vector (x', y')=(x×cosθ-y×sinθ, x×sinθ+y×cosθ) from the vector (x, y)=(the first color difference signal, the second color difference signal).
