PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a spherical, ultra-fine copper powder which has a uniform primary particle size, is in a nearly monodisperse state and is useful as a copper paste for forming a thick film conductor of an electronic circuit or as a material for a composite material. SOLUTION: In the production method of the ultra-fine copper powder, copper hydroxide is dispersed in a solution to prepare a suspension, a reducing agent is added to a suspension as the suspension is exposed to ultrasonic wave irradiation, and reductive deposition of the spherical, ultra-fine copper powder having a primary particle size of≤0.1μm is conducted through cavitation effect.
