<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle information provision apparatus by which only necessary information is provided by recognizing with accuracy whether each object in the periphery of the vehicle requires attention. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle information provision apparatus in a vehicle 10 includes an image acquisition means 1, a distance detection means 2, a computer 3, and an information provision means 4. The computer 3 includes an attention decision function for deciding whether or not paying attention to the object existent in the periphery of the vehicle is necessary through the operation processing of image data and distance data. The computer 3 also includes an information provision function for ordering the information provision means 4 to provide information to a vehicle member, when attention is decided necessary. Further, in this vehicle information provision apparatus, the image acquisition means 1 sets a reference axis for image acquisition, being positioned at the center of an image data acquisition range. Also, the distance detection means 2 sets a reference axis for distance detection, being positioned in a distance data detection range.
