<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing a photosensitive lithographic printing plate material by which dirt in the form of minute spots (stop dirt) can be prevented, the dirt appearing in a non-image part when the printing process is restarted after the operation of the printing machine is temporarily stopped for registering, a break or the like, and by which sludge accumulating in a developing tank during long-term development can be decreased and the cleaning work can be decreased. <P>SOLUTION: The method for processing a photosensitive lithographic printing plate material is carried out by developing a photosensitive lithographic printing plate material with an alkaline aqueous developing solution containing a silicate by 0 to 0.1% in terms of SiO<SB>2</SB>mass and containing a specified surfactant, the plate material having a photosensitive layer of a photopolymerizable photosensitive resin composition containing a monomer having an ethylenically unsaturated bond, a photopolymerization initiator and a polymer binder on an aluminum plate supporting body. The surface of the aluminum supporting body before the photosensitive layer is applied has 5 to 20 atomic% silicon atoms. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
