PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer method to an object to be transferred with successful workability, high productivity and best suitability for mass production and also with the capability to successfully transfer a vivid pattern to the surface of even a natural shell-fabricated article with fine unevenness on the surface, and a transfer device to an object to be transferred. SOLUTION: In this transfer device, a base 2, a heat-resistant elastic body 3 for depositing a transfer sheet B with an appropriate pattern previously printed in pigment on the sheet main body and a pressing means 4 with a heating means for pressing from above the object A to be transferred in such a state that the object A such as a natural shell-fabricated article is deposited on the transfer sheet B, are provided. In addition, the transfer sheet B is arranged on the elastic body 3 in such a way that the printed part side of the transfer sheet B is disposed on top and the object A is disposed on the printed part side with the surface to which the pattern is transferred, facing the underside. After that, the object A is pressed downward from the opposite side to the surface to which the pattern is transferred by the pressing means 4 and is heated from the opposite side.
