PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housesitting device pretending as if a resident is at home during his/her absence. SOLUTION: This housesitting device is constructed of a detection means 11 detecting an invader, a communication means 12 communicating with a home electrical appliance having a communication function, and a control means 13 controlling the home electrical appliance for pretending as if the resident is at home via the communication means 12 when the detection means 11 detects the invader.
