<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming an inkjet image exhibiting excellent image preservability and superb resistance to abrasion and water. <P>SOLUTION: The method for forming an ink jet image for recording an image on an ink jet recording medium has, on a water non-absorbable support, an ink absorbing layer containing at least one layer of inorganic micro-particles by using a water-soluble pigment ink containing water-dispersible polymeric micro-particles. The absolute value of difference between the 60° mirror surface glossiness regulated by JIS Z 8741 of a non-image portion and the 60° mirror surface glossiness in an image portion of a concentration of 1.0 is set in the range of 15 to 60. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
