<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which stably and exactly supplies a desired value of current to a luminous element of each pixel independent of not only variation of threshold values of active elements in the pixel but also that of mobility and displaying the image of high quality, and also to provide a driving method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: Before performing auto-zero operation in each pixel circuit 101-1 to 101-20 in a pixel unit 200, a current transfer circuit 108 turns on thin film transistors 132, 133 and sample-holds the reference current Iref of a reference current supply source line ISL101 over a period 20H, and when the thin film transistors TFT132, 133 are turned off after the period 20H, a THT 134 is held to be in ON-state over the period 20H, and the sample-held reference current Iref is outputted and transferred to a reference current transfer line ITL101. Each pixel circuit 101 to 101-20 captures the reference current Iref transferred to the reference current transfer line ITL101 during the period 1H, respectively, to perform the auto zero operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
