PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of easily adjusting the backlash between tooth planes of a driving gear and a driven gear, which constitute a power transmission mechanism of an electric motor, with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: In an electric power steering device, a gear housing 11 supports a rack axis 14 to allow linear motion and has an electric motor 20 to transmit the torque of a driving gear 22 fixed to a rotation axis 20A of the electric motor 20 to the rack axis 14 via a power transmission mechanism including a driven gear 36 engaged with the driving gear 22. The electric motor 20 has a circular supporting portion 41A supported as fitted to the gear housing 11 to allow adjustment of an attachment angle position around a supporting center a of the circular supporting portion 41A with respect to the gear housing 11 and a rotation center b of the driven gear 22 is placed eccentric with respect to the supporting center a of the circular supporting portion 41A.
