PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting tube not generating cracks on a sealing part of an exhaust pipe, capable of preventing damage to a chip film even when amalgam in a discharging container is scattered and collides with the chip film. SOLUTION: On the light-emitting tube, the exhaust pipe 40 is cut off in a state that the amalgam is filled in the discharging container and pressure therein is made negative. A length of the chip film 42 sucked inside the discharging container x(mm) when cutting off and sealing is in a range of 2.0≤x<(2524/(m×h))<SP>(1/0.901)</SP>, wherein, the maximum length of the flight of the amalgam in the discharging container is h(mm), and the weight of the amalgam is m(mg).
