PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk unit in which the temperature of a medium can be accurately measured by using a non-contact temperature sensor. SOLUTION: Since a property of a magnetic disk 16 is varied depending on temperature, set values of parameters of a write-current, bias voltage, or the like of write/read system are required to change depending on temperature. The temperature sensor for changing the set value is a temperature sensor 64 of a non-contact type, sure temperature can be measured by setting the sensor to a mount 12 opposing to the magnetic disk, the more exact write-current or the bias voltage corresponding to temperature can be determined.
