FIELD: rail joints primarily used for electrified railway transport. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed insulating joint has full-shaped straps mounted on both sides of rails and carrying bolted insulating shells secures at least over surface mating the rails. Adhesive shims made of two-dimensional reinforcing material layers such as binder-impregnated glass fabric are disposed between insulating shells of straps and rail walls and adhered to rail walls and insulating shells with aid of elastic adhesive such as type VK-3. ^ EFFECT: enhanced reliability, service life, and wear resistance of insulating joint. ^ 1 cl, 1 dwg |
