<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce torque ripple of a brushless motor by enhancing response and stability of a driving current being switched according to the number of conduction phases. <P>SOLUTION: The driver of a brushless motor has a controller and a switching element is driven by outputting a driving signal from a switching element driving circuit in accordance with a command signal being outputted from the controller. The controller has a driving current switching section provided with a current control compensator and current control is performed such that the level A of the driving current is switched in accordance with a variation in number of conduction phases for each armature coil. The controller is provided with a gain setting section where the gain K of the current control compensator at the driving current switching section is set appropriately to match the number of conduction phases. Furthermore, the gain setting section corrects the gain K appropriately depending on a variation in power supply voltage V, resistance R of a current passage, inductance L and operation frequency F of the brushless motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
