<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system in which a child machine sharing a job reliably processes the job and the child machine appropriately shares the shared job among grandchild and descendant machines. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming system, in which a plurality of image forming devices are connected to a network to share a directly or indirectly requested job as a linked job, comprises a status information storing means for storing status information, a parent-child relation discriminating means 88a for setting an identifier in a linked job and discriminating child image forming devices that form a parent-child relation if sharing the linked job, and a job sharing deciding means 88b for inquiring each child image forming device whether it can share the linked job or not to decide image forming devices among which the linked job is shared according to response results. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
