PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high efficiency/high performance motor rotating in one direction in which iron loss is reduced by suppressing a variation in flux density of the stator and minimizing the part of high iron loss in the stator core. SOLUTION: The motor rotating in one direction comprises a stator core in which the forward end part of teeth (umbrella part) is laterally asymmetric and extends in the rotating direction of the rotor to reach the vicinity of the forward end part of an adjacent teeth.
