PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing method of a polyester resin with good polymerizability. SOLUTION: In the producing method of the polyester resin comprising polycondensation reacting a dicarboxylic component comprising an aromatic dicarboxylic acid as a principal component with a diol component comprising an aliphatic diol as a principal component, the esterification is conducted by using a phosphorus compound of 5-20 ppm in terms of a phosphorus atom to the obtaining polyester resin, and is finished by adding a compound containing at least one metal selected from among manganese, magnesium. and calcium to an oligomer at an esterification rate of 85-96% so that the metal becomes 10-40 ppm in terms of a metal atom to the obtaining polyester resin. Thereafter, the polycondensation reaction is conducted by adding a titanium compound as a polycondensation catalyst to the resulting product so that the titanium compound becomes 5-20 ppm in terms of a titanium atom to the obtaining polyester resin.
