PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition and a biodegradable film which improve tear strength, particularly the tearing strength in the machine (stretching) direction. SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises (A) an aliphatic polyester copolymer obtained by polymerizing a diol component and an aliphatic dibasic acid component and (B) a polylactic resin, and meets all requisites that (1) at least one of the diol component and the aliphatic dibasic acid component is constituted of at least two kinds; (2) when the diol component is constituted of at least two kinds, the first component present in a largest amount in the diol component is 55-78 mol% and when the aliphatic dibasic acid component is constituted of at least two kinds, the first component present in a largest amount in the aliphatic dibasic acid component is 55-78 mol%; and (3), based on the total amount of the components (A) and (B), the component (A) is 93-72 mass% and the component (B) is 7-28 mass%.
